Pretty In Pink (NOT!)

This is our 2005, 26 foot Dutchmen Travel Trailer — when we got it.

The previous owners clearly took very good care of it.  The stove and the oven don’t even look like they were ever used.  If it weren’t for some wear and tear on the pass through and some wear on the wall paper, you wouldn’t think it had been used very much.    before-00y0y_8fN2IKHGDaY_600x450

We know that the camper was lived in by a retired couple.  We have not seen evidence of upgrades or changes but we’re really grateful that the modern elements which are popular right now (read ugly wall paper boarders liberally applied and dark, dark interiors) were not in use when this camper was built.

Fortunately, the wallpaper is a tan/cream nondescript version that we both can live with. And the “woodwork” is not too dark.

Clearly a pink lovers dream……but not ours.

How to minimize the pink/maroon without having to commit to new carpeting before we’d even spent a night in it was the table topic.  The solution?  Theme Americana!

Think Red/White/Blue using denim and blue jeans to help tone down the pink and maroon.

Think…..  Forever in Blue Jeans, Baby!
